Overseas Students

The College is an inclusive community committed to ensuring that its students not only understand that they are not all the same but learn to celebrate the differences between each other. We seek to provide our young people a broad variety of experiences and open their minds to perspectives and cultures different from their own. We achieve this through our Mandarin language program and by including overseas students on both a short-term and long-term basis.

Long-Term Students

The College is open to host a small number of overseas students in each cohort. Students must be living with a parent or a member of their family and be willing to integrate into our College community and experience Australian culture first-hand.

Short-Term Visits

The College has previously hosted short-term visits of groups of students from Korea and China. Students are hosted by College families staying in pairs for the duration of their stay. Hosting overseas visitors can be a life changing experience for the children and young people in any family. They can make life-long friends and learn in the deepest possible way the fundamental differences between our culture and that of the visiting students, as well as the incredible similarities that are inherent in simply being human. They will come to celebrate the diversity with which God has created us and develop a sense of appreciation for the miracle of communication. Hosting Chinese students offers a synergy with the program of Mandarin language tuition that we provide our students from Year 5 to Year 8.
