Enrolment Process

The following process applies to students wanting to enrol in Norwest Christian College. Please click here to enquire about Ngarra Christian College. 

1. Discover

We have one central point of contact for all your enrolment enquiries regarding our Early Learning Centre, Primary or Secondary Years, or our Out of School Hours Care centre. You will be provided with all the information you need to discover our College and aid your decision.

We encourage you to read through our College Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), engage with our online Virtual Open Day, arrange a College tour, or come along to an on campus  Open Day and speak with our students, parents and staff about our College community. 

Please complete the Enrolment Enquiry Form and a member of our Enrolments Team will be in touch with you soon with all the information you need to discover the College and aid your decision.

2. Apply

When you are ready to make the next step and proceed with an application, please complete our online Application for Enrolment form for each child you wish to apply for.  

Before you start the application, please ensure you have confirmed cohort vacancy and that you have the following documentation in PDF, PNG or JPG format ready to upload.  

  • Student's birth certificate (proof of Citizenship or VISA to be provided if born overseas) 
  • Medicare Immunisation History Statement 
  • Latest school report (if applicable) 
  • Latest NAPLAN results (if applicable) 
  • Current specialist / therapy / medical reports (if applicable) 
  • Any court or parenting orders that exist pertaining to the guardianship arrangements for the child 
  • Parent(s) Visa/proof of Citizenship (applicable if both parents were born overseas)  

A non-refundable $260 Application Fee is payable at the end of the online application for new families when they are applying to enrol their first child in the College, howeveris not required for siblings of recently applied or currently enrolled students.  

Please make sure you read our Conditions of Enrolment, Privacy Statement, Parent Code of Conduct, Student Code of Conduct, Fees and Scholarships and Location and Transport information prior to submitting your application. 

The College accepts applications at any time, however our enrolment process (Application Review stage onwards) commences within 24 months prior to the cohort commencement for our Primary and Secondary Years (Year 1 to Year 12) and within 12 months prior to the cohort commencement for our Kindergarten and Early Learning Centre (Preschool and Preparatory). Completed applications received outside of this timeframe will be acknowledged and held until they are eligible to commence the enrolment process.

Families will be notified should the applied cohort be at capacity and subsequently their application has been waitlisted. Waitlisted applications will commence the enrolment process when a vacancy becomes available in that cohort.

3. Application Review

Completed applications will be reviewed and assessed by our Enrolment Committee when a vacancy arises. Our Enrolments Team will contact families when their application has progressed to enrolment interview.

4. Enrolment Interview

Once an application has progressed to enrolment interview, we will arrange a mutually convenient time for your family to meet with the relevant Head of Years and/or our Principal. Applying students must attend the enrolment interview.

5. Offer of Enrolment

Following the enrolment interview, if successful, a Letter of Offer will be sent to you along with an Enrolment Agreement and other required enrolment paperwork to review and complete by an advised date.

6. Acceptance of Offer

An Offer of Enrolment is accepted and secured when all the relevant enrolment paperwork is returned, including the signed Enrolment Agreement, by the advised date. An additional non-refundable $400 Enrolment Fee is also payable for new families when an Offer of Enrolment is accepted for their first child at the College, however, is not required for siblings of currently enrolled students. For new enrolments entering Year 7, a non-refundable bond of $1000 also applies which will subsequently be credited against school fees upon commencement.

7. Welcome to Norwest

Once we have processed your Offer of Enrolment acceptance, you will be sent Confirmation of Enrolment correspondence outlining commencement dates, orientation days, uniform fittings, and other pertinent details which will assist your child’s transition into the College Community.
