Learning Resource Centre

The College's Learning Resource Centre (LRC) provides a library service to the whole college which assists and guides academics as well as providing opportunities to learn research and study skills. The LRC includes engaging learning and creative spaces for our youngest students, as well as senior study spaces for senior students to use during study periods and class collaborative tasks.

The LRC provides students and teachers with information, equipment and facilities to enhance learning. A key function of the LRC is to resource students with necessary information to complete their learning and/or assessments.

Some relevant facts about the LRC are listed below:
• Senior students are required to sign in for their study periods in the LRC;
• Primary students can borrow one book at lunchtime on the days that the library is open at lunch for primary students.
• Primary students will borrow library books during class time or specialist library lessons and require a library bag to do so;
• Secondary students may borrow resources during lunch times or after school;
• Secondary students may access the LRC after school hours only if they are completing College-related tasks;
• Books can be returned using the chute beside the main LRC entrance. This includes textbooks.
• Students with overdue books will receive reminders. Students will be unable to borrow until the book is returned or replaced.
• If a College resource has been lost or damaged and is in an unreturnable state, the family are asked to either replace the book (or similar if the original can’t be found) and give to Library for acquisition
• opportunities exist for students to undertake College Service in the LRC; and
• parents may undertake Parent Participation in the LRC.
