Principal's Welcome - Week 5, Term 4, 2021
Dear College families,
I’m not sure how it happened, but the year is starting to come to a close. This time of year is usually when planning for our annual Glow event is in full swing. With restrictions still in place that do not allow us to meet together face-to-face as a community, we are thankful for technology that allows us to gather virtually as a community. So this year Glow will be brought to you in a reimagined COVID-safe way.
For the last two years, we have endeavored to celebrate the College’s 40th birthday. With COVID-19 significantly impacting these plans, we have decided to get creative instead and combine our annual Glow celebration with a 40th birthday celebration. The final product will be a live-streamed event on the evening of Tuesday, 7 December with traditional Glow items such as the staff song and items commemorating the College's 40th birthday.
This live-streamed event will be a chance for our community to sing, dance, to laugh, to reminisce and to thank God for his goodness across the past 40 years. And in order to capture the heart of our annual Glow celebration, I encourage you to invite another College family (or three) into your home, for a meal or supper, to enjoy the live stream together.
More information will be revealed in the coming weeks. We are really excited about the plans that are developing and can’t wait to share more with you soon.
