WinterFest Carnival
Our WinterFest Carnival is one of our most anticipated community events. We warmly invite College families to join in on a day filled of fun, connection, performances, and entertainment for all ages.
On the day, there will be performances from Seed Academy students and our College bands, stalls, gold coin games and challenges, face painting, free activities, a delicious selection of food trucks and more.
Entry to our WinterFest Carnival is free. Please note that ride bands must be purchased for access to rides. You can pre-order your unlimited ride pass and find out more information about the rides by clicking on the tile below.

2.00pm - Carnival Opens for all - Stalls / BBQ / Rides / Food Trucks all commence
4.45pm - Rides stop

CARNIVAL FAQs
What is the WinterFest Carnival?
The WinterFest Carnival is a fun, family-friendly community event that forms part of Our Norwest WinterFest celebrations, bringing people together for rides, food, and activities. WinterFest Carnival is the final event to wrap up the week of WinterFest Celebrations and one not to be missed!
When is WinterFest taking place?
WinterFest runs from Wednesday 10 June to Saturday 13 June 2026, with multiple events scheduled across the four days. Click here to find out more about the other events.
Who can attend the Carnival?
The Carnival is open to Our Norwest community—students, families, staff, alumni, business and mission partners and friends of Norwest Christian College and Ngarra Christian College are all welcome.
Do I need tickets to attend the Carnival?
No! Entry to the carnival is free, and families are welcome to just come along on the day.
Do I need to pay for rides and activities?
There will be free activities and games available for families, however ride bands must be purchased for access to rides. There will also be a selection of food trucks, a BBQ and stalls guests can purchase from.
Are ride and stall tickets available on the day?
YES, ride bands are available for $35 on the day, or you can pre-purchase them here for $27 prior to the day. Individual rides can also be purchased for $8 on the day. Stall tickets are also available to purchase on the day for $2 per game ticket, $10 for 6 game tickets or $20 for 13 game tickets.
Are EFTPOS or card payments available?
YES, these will be available at the rides, BBQ and stalls, but bringing a small amount of cash is also recommended.
What can I expect at the Carnival?
A big day of joy, connection and belonging! There will be:
- Amusement rides
- Food trucks, a BBQ and refreshments
- Student music and dance performances
- Free activities and games
- And entertainment for all ages!
Are the rides and activities suitable for younger children?
YES, there are activities designed for a range of age groups, including family-friendly rides and games. Some amusement rides do have height restrictions – click here for more information under the tickets.
Will there be food available?
YES, there will be a variety of food trucks, stalls and a BBQ offering meals, snacks, and drinks. Families are also welcome to bring their own food to enjoy.
Will there be options for dietary requirements?
YES, there will gluten-free and vegan options available, however subject to demand on the day.
Where is the Carnival held?
The Carnival takes place on the Norwest Christian College campus, specifically across the Primary Quad, The Greens, The Undercroft and the College Oval.
Is parking available?
There will be very limited parking available on-site, street or nearby parking is recommended. Attendees are encouraged to follow event directions and signage on the day.
Is the event accessible (prams/wheelchairs)?
YES, the Carnival is designed to be accessible for families with prams and for guests with mobility needs.
What should I bring?
- Comfortable clothing and shoes
- A jacket or warm layers (winter weather)
- Money for rides and food
- Picnic rug or camping chairs, if you wish
Are volunteers needed?
YES, parent volunteers play an important role in helping run the event. If you are an Approved College Volunteer and would like to help, please click here to choose what you would like to sign up for.
Can community members run a stall?
YES, we will have a space where community members can have their own stall, please note limited stall places are available. If you are interested in having a stall at the Carnival, please contact Mel Broady mbroady@nwcc.nsw.edu.au for more information.
What happens if it rains?
The Carnival will generally go ahead in most weather conditions. Any major updates or changes will be communicated to our community via official College platforms as needed.
Will first aid be available?
YES, first aid support will be available onsite during the event.
