As a primary school teacher, Rachel is passionate about creating a learning environment that is a fun, safe, exciting and engaging place to learn for all students. “Students should feel comfortable enough to both think for themselves and challenge their thinking with the assistance, guidance and support of their teacher” she says. “I encourage my students to set goals for their own learning, short and long term.”
Rachel also runs a Youth Girl's Bible Study at Life Anglican Church in Quakers Hill. The group meets every week of the school term for girls in Years 6-9. “I am very passionate about making sure that there is a ministry catered to the needs of teenage girls, and which can allow them to be personally challenged and transformed by God's Word to be lifelong disciples of Him”.
In the rare pieces of time she gets to herself, Rachel enjoys taking photos, particularly close up shots which show the intricacies of God’s creation. She also likes playing with her dog, eating Yum Cha with her husband and settling down with a good book.
