“I am excited to be working at Norwest where God is the centre of developing and aiding students to achieve their fullest potential. I believe in the importance of surrounding children with God's love and truth from a young age so that they are nourished through His word which is applicable to all aspects of our life." As Proverbs 22:6 states "Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”
Natalie joins the Learning Enrichment Team as a Case Officer with extensive experience. Having worked as a Behaviour Therapist for 3 years in a primary school specifically designed for children with moderate to severe Autism including non-verbal students. Natalie believes that every student is fearfully and wonderfully made and is excited to be able to help aid each student in their uniqueness to unlock their talents and gifts in all aspects.
While working in administration in psychological medicine, Natalie witnessed children with Autism and other developmental disabilities coming in and it was then that she knew it was her calling to help these children do the best they could with the gifts they hold.
A memory Natalie shares was when she observed a spontaneous social interaction between two students after months of structured and prompted social play. Watching a student work on a skill for months at a time, to see them independently grow and achieve their goal was rewarding.
As an avid photographer, Natalie is also passionate about creative arts and being able to give students the opportunities to express and explore their imagination through various forms of creative methods.
Natalie supports the women’s ministry in her church as she believes fellowship is about empowering women and others to know their true value, worth and identity in Jesus.
