Li Li joins Norwest as a Mandarin teacher in our Primary years. She has a Masters of Management Science and Engineering which she completed in China and a Graduate Certificate in Language Teaching and Bilingualism (Birth-12) she completed here in Sydney.
Craig Ott said "The mission of God seeks to enfold people of every nation, tribe, and language into God's kingdom." With all these years passing by, it has became Li Li’s passion and mission to reach out to the migrants from various cultural background and help them settle into the local community.
Li Li attends Epping Baptist Church and is a member of the Cross Culture Committee and the Safe Church Concerns Team along with volunteering in their Playtime group. Since arriving in Australia five years ago, Li Li believes she has benefited greatly from her church community.
Li Li has been teaching Mandarin in Fenghua Chinese School since 2018. In addition, she has been participating in a research project of "Investigating the needs and demands for Home Language (HL) maintenance for pre-schoolers in Greater Sydney through a survey and observational study of home language support currently provided." The study takes place in KU Cheltenham Memorial Preschool and is in partnership with Western Sydney University.
