Katrina loves teaching and the opportunity to allow students to question, explore, reflect, learn and grow together. One of the reasons Katrina wanted to teach was she “saw teachers and carers supporting students with special needs to overcome physical and mental barriers over a long period of time, to achieve tasks that seemed unreachable and showing that student their ability and value.”
Having grown up in Living Stone Church Katrina now enjoys serving on the children's ministry team as a coordinator. “I love seeing children come to know and love the Lord through this ministry and am humbled to be a part of it.” She also serves on her church's catering team, organising and preparing lunches to foster relationships between church members and new comers.
Katrina enjoys spending time exploring art exhibitions and being outdoors; finding her way to the highest point on a mountain, swimming in waterfalls, hiking and camping.
She is excited to be joining the Primary teaching team at the College and says “It is a unique environment where teachers can outwardly and intentionally proclaim the gospel and demonstrate God's love in the classroom on a day to day basis.”
