Joshua has joined our staff as a full time Science and Biology teacher. With a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) from Macquarie University, and a Bachelor of Science under his belt, Joshua knew that teaching was for him. “I sensed God calling me to teaching and confirming it as I began studying. I was on my prac and I saw a student's light bulb moment where they understood a scientific concept that I had taught. To be able to share my understanding in a way that relates to another students' life and experiences is truly rewarding.” Joshua is passionate about Christian Education and “glorifying God through teaching others about His creation and building positive relationships among students.”
Joshua attends Glorious Hope Church and supports A21 and Baptist World Aid, “I am a firm believer that all humanity is valuable in the eyes of God, and A21 aims to aid and rescue those who have been in slavery.”
In his spare time Joshua enjoys playing the drums, going on food safaris, playing chess, travelling and watching The Lord of the Rings. He can speak a little of Korean, French and Arabic.
“I think Norwest is unique because staff and students are markedly friendly, charismatic and open about their faith in God and where they're at in life. From the first day I was here I noticed an atmosphere among students I hadn't witnessed elsewhere.”
