Ben Hillier

Ben is passionate about creating a learning environment where students feel safe, respected and excited to learn. He also believes that it is essential to centre his teaching around his christian values. “I strive to display God’s love for us to my students through providing them with authentic learning opportunities and encouraging them in their goals and passions”.

Initially, Ben began studying to become an audio engineer. However, he soon realised that what he truly wanted to do was make a meaningful impact in the lives of others and felt that God was calling him towards becoming a teacher.

Ben completed his Bachelor of Primary Education through The University of Technology, Sydney where he pursued his newfound passion. “From the moment I taught my first lesson on placement, I instantly knew teaching was right for me and is where God wanted me to be.”

Ben firmly believes that every student possess a unique set of skills that God has entrusted to them. “I have very high expectations for my students and am constantly encouraging them to strive to be great and achieve their own personal goals”. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord” (Col. 23:3).

In his spare time, Ben enjoys refining his woodworking skills, practicing his photography or jamming with his friends on the drums or guitar.
