Tuesday 29 August, 2017
Commencing 7:00pm in the College Auditorium
Sponsored by NWCC P&F, with guest speaker Senior Constable John Bollard, Quakers Hill Police Youth Liaison Officer.
Increasingly, social media is playing an influential role in the lives of our children and not always for positive gains. Statistics show that for teenagers, social media plays a key role in the development of their understanding of social interactions and for our younger children, the pull to participate in online communication platforms is becoming difficult to avoid.
Unfortunately, as we are all too aware, there are risks associated with online engagement. Helping kids to stay safe online is something many parents are concerned about. By knowing about potential risks associated with social media and how to deal with them, parents can help manage potentially negative situations.
The College is pleased to be able to extend an invitation to all parents to join us for what is sure to be a very informative evening! So, whether you have infants children or children in the upper years of secondary, I strongly urge you to attend this evening and equip yourself with information that can help protect growing minds and hearts.
This seminar is for parents only and is an open event for the whole community. Child-minding is also available. Please register your attendance below.
