The Primary quadrangle is supervised daily for Primary and Secondary students from 8:15am – 8:40am.

Early Learning Centre

Each day begins with a devotion and prayer followed by a variety of child-directed and educator-directed activities. There are opportunities for the children in both the Caterpillar and Butterfly rooms to play and learn together and also for activities specific to each class - individual daily routines are available for each room. Music lessons are incorporated into the daily program and on Wednesdays students have an opportunity to borrow books from the Library.

A communication note is provided to families at the beginning of each term outlining specific class activities for the term. Additionally, a newsletter is provided twice a term containing information about child development and suggested activities to support your child’s learning.

Primary Years

Primary Years communication notes detail information relevant to the class or stage, including excursions, library days, home readers, homework, banking, and class performances. Communication Notes are made available fortnightly via the College website: NWCC Parents>Primary Communication Note. A link is provided in the College newsletter, Directions.

Secondary Years

Secondary timetables are available for live access by students and parents on Edumate. Students are encouraged to check these ahead of time for timetabled classes, room changes, calendar events and other variations to routine.

Assemblies

Primary Daily Assemblies
Morning assemblies occur at 8:40am in the Primary quadrangle (weather permitting) and parents are welcome to stay for this time. The school day begins with a vibrant worship song followed by a welcome, announcements and prayer. Once a week we celebrate student birthdays.

Primary Fortnightly Assemblies
Primary assemblies are held fortnightly on a Monday afternoon, beginning at 2.20pm. Families are welcome to attend. During these times students are recognised for their achievements and classes perform musical or drama items. A schedule of dates is provided at the start of each term by class teachers.

Secondary Fortnightly Assemblies
Secondary assemblies take place fortnightly on Wednesdays.

Chapel Services

The Chaplain directs fortnightly Chapel services for both Primary and Secondary Years.
