As the freshness of the morning met with the radiant heat of the sun, children assembled for what was to be the perfect setting for our Mother’s Day Morning Tea and Concert.
We were truly grateful for the opportunity to take the time to thank our mums (and grandmas too) for all that they are, and all that they do for us. Classes shared a variety of songs, poems, and personal reflections with their mothers, before our mums headed out to enjoy some morning tea delicacies. It was a memorable occasion for many, with some very precious moments.
One such moment occurred when Holly Lennane shared the following poem, which she penned as a dedication to her mother.
Mothers are kind, mothers are sweet,
From the top of their heads, down to their feet.
They cook us our food, they buy us our clothes,
Everything they do is for our own good.
They are there when we are happy, they are there when we are sad,
Their cuddles and kisses make our hearts glad.
Mothers are the best, nothing can compare,
Their everlasting love that the whole heart will share.
Our beautiful mums are a gift from above,
So honour and cherish them and shower them with love.
