Specialist Teachers in Primary

The College provides specialist teachers for all Primary students in the following subjects.

Music

In Years K - 2 the focus is on singing, percussion and movement, where students are encouraged to enjoy their music and to express themselves through the various activities.

Years 3 – 6 build on previous experience and students spend time learning to read music notation. Within this program students focus on a set instrument in each year of school;

Year 3 – Drums & Percussion
Year 4 - Recorder
Year 5 – Guitar
Year 6 – Keyboard

This program is designed to help students discover many musical instruments and develop their ability and confidence as a performer as they move into the Secondary School.

Spanish

From 2009 Primary students from Kindergarten through to Year 6 receive weekly Spanish lessons from a specialist language teacher.

Science                                                                           

Primary students from Kindergarten through to Year 6 receive weekly Science lessons from a specialist Science teacher. The lessons involve the use of the Secondary school’s Science equipment and laboratories.
